Kapiti Rest Home and Kena Kena Rest Home, both located in Paraparaumu Beach on the sunny Kapiti Coast, are owned and operated by Heather Rye & Barbara Mador. Heather & Barbara are both Registered Nurses and have owned Kena Kena for over 25 years, and Kapiti since 2017.
Both Kapiti and Kena Kena are small enough to have a homely feel while delivering a high standard of care to all Residents through our team of experienced Caregivers. Our Diversional Therapists plan and deliver an exceptional activities programme, with plenty of exercise including walks along the beautiful waterfront when possible. We frequently have in house entertainers, and also have several outings each month. Our Cooks pride themselves on providing delicious home cooked meals and baking, and all personal laundry is laundered in house.

Kena Kena Rest Home provides quality care for up to 51 Residents. With 30 single rooms, Kena Kena also has two wings of Care Suites available under an Occupation Right Agreement (ORA).
